A Senior Regional Exploration Geologist is required by our client, a company that has extensive experience in the highly promising and resource rich regions of Eurasia and Eastern Europe. The Senior Regional Exploration Geologist role is a new one for this region and required due to the growing budgets and promising projects slated for early 2012.

We require a technically skilled Senior Exploration Geologist with a minimum of 7 years experience to manage the people and resources currently in the region. The work will include regional broad scale and detailed mapping, supervising soil, stream sediment sampling programs, field checks, target ranking and the design and supervision of diamond and RC programs commencing in March 2012. Your focus will also be on developing the skills of the local geologists within the start up team with regards to logging, sampling and geological interpretation.







A range of metals exploration experience would be useful as would remote Eastern Europe experience. This country enjoys a temperate climate and provides an excellent base for vacation travel within Europe.







Senior Regional Exploration Geologist Role

• Ensure that all exploration work is carried out following company procedures with a focus on health and safety.
• Responsible for drilling program budgets and activity.
• Supervision of all field exploration activities: greenfield and brownfield.
• Training and development of local staff.

• Undergraduate degree in Geology is required.
• Previous overseas experience an asset.
• The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years exploration geology experience.
• Understanding of mineral deposit models, resource estimation techniques, mining, and metallurgy.
• Strong computer skills including Excel, Surpac and experience w/3D modeling packages.
